Here’s a cool video of the making of the “grit” tape installation. Artist Stephen Doyle and his talented team— which, let’s be straightforward here, includes my extremely charming boyfriend prominently featured in this video in the red t-shirt—taped, across multiple surfaces, the words for the character traits being taught at KIPP Infinity middle school in Manhattan.
